I was never a big fan of Pink Floyd,I'm more of a U2, Celine Dion and Shania Twain back in the day, the 80's to be exact a Michael Jackson fan,but this song is a classic. I remember when it first came out the kids at my school at least the kids that I knew friends what have you were all singing this song. It drove my teachers up the wall. It was all over the radio. It sure brings back memory. I think it was released in the very late 70's or very early 80's.

  8. I came to Pink Floyd rather reluctantly as my parents were into them, but I loved 'Animals' and still do. By the time The Wall came around I had more or less moved on. For me the 80s were these guys.

"Twist away the gates of steel
    Unlock the secret voice
    Give in to ancient noise
Take a chance a brand new dance
Twist away the gates of steel"

    Yeah!

May I offer something that, as a Christian who votes Liberal, gets me through the day? I appreciate all who speak the truth to power. You make my day. LJK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKhcZrn3AvE.
