That would be...you're on you're own pal!Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04291881352139075405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30594727.post-75711450491189543922008-04-26T19:19:00.000-04:002008-04-26T19:19:00.000-04:00"both she and Rob Russo finally articulated that C..."both she and Rob Russo finally articulated that Canadians do get this scheme."

Now that we've had the raid, and people have really focused on what happened, it isn't as complicated as the details suggest. I'm not sure who used the analogy of filing a tax return, but I thought that a good one, everybody does it and they know you don't claim rebates if you aren't entitled. There is a real world application that speaks on a base level, and that cuts through all the noise.Steve Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04871113039374739208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30594727.post-31192225574894399452008-04-26T12:00:00.000-04:002008-04-26T12:00:00.000-04:00"Dumont is not forgiven. How will that play out against the new immigration bill that Harper has brought forward?"

You want to know how well it plays out here in Quebec. Here is a poll here and here. Sorry I can't find an english one. You will have to do the translation yourself.

"All of those reasons and more are what kept Harper at bay for so long. They haven't gone away as the Con's like to crow, they've simply been buried or obfuscated, particularly in Quebec where Harper only allows the conversation to focus on how much he's done for the province. When was the last time he was forced to discuss social issues?"

It will never happen here in Quebec. Because people here see social issues as being a provincial issue not a federal one. This is the big difference between the Conservatives and Mr. S.Dion's Liberals.

The downward turn for the A.D.Q in the polls can be linked directly to the inexperience of its members in my opinion. The A.D.Q. has over 90% of its members who are elected for their first time ever in any kind of political office. And it shows. Even they were surprised on election night. Mr.M.Dumont is the one who has the most experience of all of them, and never as official opposition. Just to remind you Mr. Dumont will be 39 in May keep this in mind.

Let me just add this about Mr.J.Charest he is to the right of Mr.S.Dion Liberals. I am sure that most of your readers who side with Mr.S.Dion have never voted for Mr.J.Charest when he was leading the P.C.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30594727.post-84245643945377231412008-04-25T22:29:00.000-04:002008-04-25T22:29:00.000-04:00Aaron...thanks for that. "

That's the big question. I think the next election will be played out on that here in Quebec (and that may decide the national outcome with Quebec seats). THte leadership republican meme that worked so well for George Bush or the issues that people want: action on the reducing green house gases, equality for gays, removing fears of backsliding on abortion, sound fiscal management and (if the Liberals do it forcefully fearlessly) fair family-based immigration policies.

SUpport is weak. I think there are ALOT of votes up for grabs in Quebec at the moment and only a election campaign will show how it falls out.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12086209664270723549noreply@blogger.com
