I would have liked to have seen MacKay receive that position for no other reason then to see his sorry ass leave this province and hopefully open up Central Nova to something other then Conservative rule in perpetuity. Unfortunately they bleed blue up there though so even Potato Pete's dog could run and likely win that riding.
Well, it certainly did seem like a long shot. No two ways about it. The Biden thing surprised me though.
I wonder how Harper reacted to all of this? Happy to potentially be rid of a successor or concerned that one of his middle weights in his very light weight caucus could disappear?
It seems that MacKay will have to lead NATO, because Rasmussen is "more dangerous" than the loverboy.
Rasmussen is the last guy the Turks want. Someone who allowed the Muhammad cartoons to be published. He may get a veto and loverboy Pete will be the consensus choice. Only because both the Turks, French, and the Russians found him inoffensive.
Let MacKay kill off NATO so we can have some real ideas on how to end the war on Afghanistan.
I'm an artist with an interest in politics.
I'm also Charles A. Brown's granddaughter. He served WW1 - 73rd Battalion CEF, then later in the RAF. I'm afraid he kept his battles with the Red Baron a secret.

No dogs here. Should I lock up my cats instead?
lol, sjw.
In as much as I sympathise with you, the thought of this man heading NATO was just too frightening to entertain.
Only if Harper is around Penlan, ;).
I don't think Spuds MacKay really had a chance from the outset, so he's probably not going to be too disappointed (or surprised).

We'll never know.
