I watched Tony Genco interviewed the other night and to say I was unimpressed would be an understatement. If Fantino takes this riding the quality of the Liberal candidate will likely have played a role.
I think it was on CPAC. I don't know, to me it was Genco offering up a whole lot of "Julian Fantino and the Harper Conservatives have no plan and don't represent the values of the citizens of Vaughn and we have a plan and that plan is the right plan....", blah, blah, blah. I get so tired of hearing about these mysterious "plans" these politicians have. I want to hear about what folks stand for and believe in. Sadly you seldom, if ever, get either. I'm quite sure Genco wouldn't have my vote if I lived in that metro Toronto riding.
Oh trust me, I've been doing nothing but homework these past couple of years and the more time that goes by the less likely it is I will be voting Liberal. In my riding that will translate to a vote for the Conservatives, but I owe my first loyalty to my conscience. The LPC is lost in a fog as far as I'm concerned.
Ok, lets take this for a spin... in that same CPAC segment Julian Fantino was also interviewed and in that interview he categorically maintained that in his opinion there was absolutely no correlation between poverty and crime. This is a man the Liberals had courted to be their candidate in Vaughan? Would you have been comfortable supporting such an individual knowing they hold such views? I know I wouldn't. All that failed courtship says to me is that the Liberals are interested in nothing but winning at the sacrifice of progressive principals. If that is what is meant by "big red tent" then I want nothing to do with it.
It is plain to see where your allegiance lies Omar but one does not entirely agree with you either. Just like a child, prefer the leader and that's who you'll root for. Sad but I know a lot of people who do this and they are setting themselves up for a huge disappointment most of the time. As for trusting you Omar, not a chance from a guy with all talkand no action kind of guy
I'm an artist with an interest in politics.
I'm also Charles A. Brown's granddaughter. He served WW1 - 73rd Battalion CEF, then later in the RAF. I'm afraid he kept his battles with the Red Baron a secret.

Holy Mackerel! I agree with Rex. And good on him for saying it so succinctly. Wake up, people of Vaughan.
Succinct and well stated Rex.

Oh, okay I'll look for it on CPAC. I do like that they, unlike other media, actually cover these by elections.
As to how you'd vote? Well...I kinda know ya and suspect that you'd do more homework than that ;)
Townhalls, debates, ask questions, etc?
Just sayin...

Have a nice day all.

If they are so plain to see, then tell me where you think they lay.
Just like a child, prefer the leader and that's who you'll root for.
You'll have to help me out with that one.

I could care less whether you trust me or not, Marie.
Have a nice day? Get stuffed.
