It's interesting the different narrative from some bloggers and the MSM. The MSM are not saying Ignatieff has not been travelling the country, they have noted that he has been absent in the media. And they actually explain, sometimes somewhat frustratingly, why. He hasn't been saying much that has been newsworthy. And, in fact, the Ignatieff team has actually confirmed this and have stated this is their strategy. Some bloggers, however, have noted all the places Ignatieff has been and have wondered why he hasn't been getting coverage for it. If he actually made substantive policy statements about current issues there is a good chance he would get more coverage. But he hasn't, he has acknowledge this and has said it is part of his strategy. And so the general public doesn't see him in the media very often and wonders: Where has Ignatieff been? Is this a good strategy? We'll see.

I was at this meeting in the Polish Hall, am in the frame in fact. It's my strong feeling that Michael needs to be more visible and covered in the media. AND covered by the media, both main stream and web grass roots.

It's come to that 'I"m doing presentations' to various people in my spheres, who haven't heard enough from Michael so spin his public absence their own way.. And I can understand it. Silence is not the way for a politician, for the leader of the opposition. The void creates doubt in the curious who are on their way to becoming the discouraged and blase general public.
