Fighting Lunacy

While madness has reached proportions no one could have imagined in the US, we in Canada have no reason to be smug or complacent.

Jason Kenney yesterday certainly started down the path of alternate realities and his loyal foot (in mouth) soldiers dutifully followed.

Part of the problem, imo, is mainstream media giving wing nuts currency by airing, thereby repeating, their fatuous claims. The ill informed glom on to such statements and no one seems to be setting the record straight.

Should we demand that? I think so.

So, I offer this video simply to illustrate what is being fought in the US, in the hope that we are not faced with the same inanity.

When you see it, speak out. Your voice is needed to prevent it.

They'll lament the state of politics, but they only reason we're here is because they cover it EVERY time. Those quotes were a gigantic nothing of biblical proportions- even a half honest Conservative knows exactly what context he meant, it was actually a reference to the media arena, which is ironic.

The saddest part, they'll hide behind this notion of "fairness". The Liberals had their ads out, so it's only fair to give Kenney equal time. It was so weak, but all they wanted was a distraction, they know the media will report it. Hmmm, last time I checked they aren't a passive entity, they decide what's newsworthy. So some stupid quote that insults your intelligence is noteworthy? Farcical, it really, really is....

Can't wait for the next "tsk tsk" session with the media pundits, where they criticize what they swallow, where they volunteer more of the same with their compliance.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday, because it it not so nice now after the new poll for CTV.
The Conservatives 35, Liberals 30 Cons. up in Ontario and lead, and gaining on Liberals in Quebec!

CTV - I'd take that with a grain of salt.

Of course you would. Unless the poll showed the Liberals leading, in which case you'd be shouting it from the rooftops, right?

I think its time to churn out a 'We deserve Better' battle with the MsM... and being someone who works in the biz, its amazingly disheartening to see a few deceptive people and a few more blowhards with a mic hijack real, balanced news coverage. My employer happens to be one of the worst -- and they do it coast to coast. But Leonard and Co. wouldn't dare say what they have to gain with a CON government, would they?

I'd take anything FredfromBC says with a grain of salt. He doesn't seem to realize the amount of bias that he himself carries nor that he is on a liberal blog and may not find the amount of sycophants his ego requires.

So whose truth do you like? The one from "their" side or "our" side? Our you'd only like journalists to report our side?

Journalists are, for the most part, lazy stenographers. As some have pointed out, there is always the partisan perspective.

He/she is of course correct in that assessment.

So while the arguments that some Liberals put forth are correct, you can't help but notice that there always seems to be a "red coloured" tinge to it.

Some Liblogs would have liked the MSM media to report all of Iggy's farts while on tour this summer. Or Rocco's stupid vacation, or the BBQ... But why? Because it is Iggy? C'mon...

Instead of trying to take the high road, seems the Liberals are complaining AND trying to play the media game at the same time.

If everyone here was half as honest (or mature?) as you, we could have some interesting and productive discussions. But that's not the point of this blog, is it? "Stephen Hypocrite" and "Jason Kenney's loyal foot (in mouth) soldiers" is about as grown-up as the conversation around here will ever get, sadly...

When it comes to CTV, you may as well be reading a smut magazine. We all know how credible they are in reporting the real news when it comes to politics. I don't even like watching CTV. They are so bias when it comes to Harper, there noses are brown. For gods sake, they work for him. Should we be expecting anything else for them.
