I'll have more to say later, but overall, I like them!

I would grade those ads as fair, not good, definitely not excellent.

If this is the best that Ignatieff's handlers can do then the Liberal Party is in deep Shit.

Should have had a real democratic leadership race instead of a coup.

Shocking! An anonymous commenter offers inane critique.

Why was a tripod not used to staedy the camera for the English ad?

The more anti Liberal and anti Ignatieff types whinge, the more I know we hit the mark.

Whinge on.

Do you hit all the blogs with the same material? Is that a requirement when your a paid blogger working for the Reforms?

Come on now. Surely you can do better than that.

Cheers, Marie

The Polish flag is upside down. Is that code for something?

Other than that, the English ad seemed a little bland but very welcoming.

Anon aka Bob on RT's site - saying the same thing all over the blogosphere today - BORING!

Imagine if one of these Tory trolls had an original thought?

They are told to comment on radio shows, blogs, news articles as often as they can with the Tory talking points - how pathetic is that? Harper's telling them they have no brains and no freedom of speech because they have to say what he approves. Sad.

sigh, Tomm is no different

I find KKKate and Adrian MacNair (aka Raphael Alexander" highly "whingeable".... does that mean they are right?

Hey you attack dogs,

I didn't attack the ad. I told you what I thought of it.

Go back in your kennel, I'll see if I can get a real troll to come by and say unlovely things for you to critique.

Or do you actually WANT to bite someone? I can come back twith a taser...

Karen said...

Gee, c_wtf, you have that twisting words around thing down pat.

Karen said...

Tomm, I didn't see an attack and didn't take your comment to be offensive.

I am amused when Iggy says "Think Big"....

As someone from Quebec, I can't help but think of Elvis Gratton's slogan... "THINK BIG 'STI"

Ohh right, it's somehow different when you do it.... or is it the other way around?

The ads are what they are. They offer no plan and only platitudes (like all political ads). I would have preferred the French environment one to be in the woods but it does not really matter.

Buzzword Buzzword Buzzword, Slogan from Kennedy's 1960 presidential run with a shaky camera. Canadians really do want change if these adds have an effect I guess.

Karen said...

c_wtf, I was referring to the equivalence you drew to my whinging comment, specifically, there is none.

As to no plan...a 30 second spot to lay out a plan?, to lay out a platform?

Seriously? That's not what advertising is, nor should it be.

The ads beat beat the hell out of the juvenile shlock coming from the CPC, which btw I hope they continue. The contrast will be stark.

The Cons are out fill force, repeating the same obnoxious thing to blog after blog.. The ads must be OK ..they are riled.
They are too calm for Harper, who must lie and demean people.

Anonymous said...

Not riled at all, but very amused.

Iggy is great at unintentional comedic relief.

By the way, what is with Iggy wearing a "blue" shirt in the English ad?

Is he really further to the right than you think he is?

Karen said...

You really think your comments have relevance, do you anon?

CWTF - The Cons do have instruction to their supporters regarding radio programmes, etc. - that's a fact.

Libs and NDP and Green do not have that and I presume the BLOC don't either.

If you ever watch Dale Goldhawk on Sunday evenings on CPAC (will be starting again I think in Sept) - he knows about it and is good at catching them. You should listen to them - it's pathetic. Some even read from Harper's talking point instructions and Goldhawk gets them off the line.

I know you hate everything anything Iggy or Libs, but facts are facts.

but facts are facts.
Are you channelling Chrétien?

Yup, the harperbots are quite dopey when they don't have a script.
