The Truth According to the CPC

If you had any doubt as to how the Conservative party operates, (well frankly you must have been living under a rock), this story certainly makes it crystal clear.

We know that truth has no place in that party, because Tom Flanagan has been gracious enough to that point out. Tell the truth and your career is over. Do something honestly that contravenes your party line or upsets your base? Your career will stagnate.

Gordon Langdon is simply the latest in a long list of people who have had their ambitions shot down by the duplicitous Conservative Party of Canada.

Landon was dumped Monday as the Conservative candidate for Markham-Unionville after publicly musing the GTA riding was being shut out of federal infrastructure funding because it is held by a Liberal.

I wouldn't call it musing exactly. The man was a regional councillor and had intimate knowledge of how the plan was being implemented.

No surprise though, because of course he was speaking the truth and shoring up what Gerrard Kennedy has been saying for months. Oddly enough, that story, the story of how money is being unevenly distributed, doesn't seem to be a story for the MSM. Can't quite figure out why. It may be due to a shortage of resources in bureaus these days, but still, you'd think that would be a story of interest to Canadians, wouldn't you?

So, as MP's Chong, Ablonczy, Lunn, Ambrose, Gallant, etc. have learned, so has Mr. Landon. Truth has no place in the party. In fact, maybe the CPC have done him a favour, for he leaves with his integrity and 'soul' intact.

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act

I always remain surprised that there have never been any further defections from the CPC to the Liberals. Surely there must be more than a few red Tory's popular enough in their ridings to cross the floor and then get reelected. Scott Brison's decision was warmly embraced and has since taken firm root. Take the plunge, Michael Chong!

I read that Mr Langdon, said, that the Media misquoted him, and that he would like to work for the Conservatives... what got into him?

"What got into him"... Appointment?

We have to keep pounding away at this story (good job Gerrard!), just like the lone Conservative and NDP MPs did during the last few years of Liberal government. It it's the first thing the media hears from us, it will eventually be reported.

Am I the only one who understands how to utilize the media effectively in this party? lol... lol... I doubt it. I think there is simply a reluctance to go that route yet...

I wish a few cabinet ministers "resigned" when they screwed up large.

Misquoted him? Wasn't it on a TV panel interview? I saw a glimpse of it.

Harper make him say that?

Omar I think Chong is a good MP, but he's pretty a traditional Con. He just doesn't fit with that gang.

Lizt, I haven't actually seen a link to that, but the misquote thing is BS. He was in two video clips and you know, my English is pretty good ;)

WG, actually, the whole of what Kennedy is reporting must be pushed more and I for one will be.

In the meantime, I'm filing my nails while the media are busy chasing their tails and following shiny objects.

ottawasteph? The entire front bench would be empty...unless you'd like to see it filled with backbenchers.

Ha! Gallant, Anders, Wallace...oh, I have to stop.

Anything to distract them from the week that Michael Ignatieff had, eh?

From ending up in the wrong (empty) field to the discovery of Narnia's actual location (Cherry Park, was it?) to the rather sad miscalculation in Quebec and subsequent defections of Quebec liberals (there were a couple more verbal 'gaffes' too, but you get the point)...yeah, I'd be trying to deflect attention too.

And then there are the latest poll numbers...;)

I'm going to keep this very simple knb.

I know you hate anonymous Liberals that are quoted in the papers. What do you think would happen if they put a name to the words? What would happen? Chainsaw to their political career like a war room volunteer stated?

What really is the truth?

Here's is likely # 2 to get his walking papers. Found this on BCer in Tornont Jeffs web page. Titled Conservative Mp attacks his party's attack ads predicts early electioncer in Toronto

of Brian Jean, the Conservative MP for Fort McMurray-Athabasca, all the more interesting.
Looks like some of Harpers MP are seeing the lies might hurt their own chances of being re-elected in their own ridings.

You can also find the whole story of Con MP Brian Jean on National Watch newspaper. IMO,I think we will know soon how much Harper wants an election when we see the COns advertising on that paper.

Yeah, that whole wrong field thing was a complete and utter disaster. Filming in Cherry Park? - I can see why Canadians would think that is WAY more important than spending stimulus money in ridings that do not need stimulus spending.
