"Who are "they"? Where do they "go on and on" about it?"
"They" are the Con & PMO PR machines - in press releases that the media "go on & on" about at various times & also when Harper uses his kids, especially his daughter, in the occasional photo-op.

A PMO press release has featured Stephen Harper's children? Harper 'uses' his kids by inviting the news media to come and film them interacting with he and his wife?
Do you have any examples of this? No, I didn't think so. Maybe you should email all the national news organizations and ask them to stop following the Prime Minister around, especially when his family is present.
But then it looks like Iggy is setting up his own photo ops with children now, isn't he? And wearing such a lovely red sweater, too...
I'm an artist with an interest in politics.
I'm also Charles A. Brown's granddaughter. He served WW1 - 73rd Battalion CEF, then later in the RAF. I'm afraid he kept his battles with the Red Baron a secret.

So adorable!
Iggy finally found a demographic he can relate to.
Iggy doesn't have to talk about elections. With this much Polievre being flung at the Tories, talk will happen naturally.
KNB,
Hope you feel better soon. And hugs to you as well.
The interesting thing about it - it was so natural - they came to him and he is very comfortable, obviously, with kids.
They go on an on about Harper being a fater - well, duh, so are Ignatieff, Layton and May is a mother.
Guess what folks, Harper isn't the only one who is a parent - probably most of parliamentarians are parents.
Whoops - meant to say Harper a father, not fater - Freudian slip perhaps?
Another good guy who likely isn't going to become Prime Minister.
Good moment during a tough couple months.
Tomm

And who has ever implied that the others weren't parents?

Yes. A year’s worth of babysitting the Harper government in the Commons has doubtless given him some highly developed child-management skills.
