It does make you feel good. He seems to be more relaxed with crowds of ordinary people, now, and that is good. I will feel more of a Canadian when Harper is gone for good.
I like Ignatieff, I really do. Mind you, I don't like him quite as much as I liked Stephane Dion, but both are (and were) far and away better options then the current clown act pulling the levers of power on Parliament Hill. No, what I have difficulties with is the Liberal party. From the head office incompetents to my local riding officials who run their show in secrecy on down to the provincial wing who just assume your federal allegiances translate to support for them, I had enough. I withdrew my monetary contributions several weeks ago and if who runs in my riding who I think is going to run, my vote for the party is very much in doubt as well. I've felt for quite sometime now the Conservatives were on the cusp of majority government and when we finally get around to the next election I will unfortunately likely play a role in helping them achieve that goal. C'est la fucking vie.
Too bad you're going to vote for party that believes in divisiveness and not cohesion, a party that will leave Canadians with a $56billion+ deficit with no plan to recover the economy, a party that still has a lawsuit against Elections Canada, a party that broke it's own election laws, a party that doesn't care about the environment, unemployment, a party that disregards the rule of law (Kadr, Abdelradzik (sp), rulings made by the Speaker of the House, a party that is willing to sell Canadian assets, a party that has disdain for women, the disabled, a PM who would rather talk to US media instead of talking to Canadians and the Canadian media (unless your on theor accepted list), a PM who dictates rather than advises ("Sheeple" by Garth Turner), and if you want to vote for them, your tough luck...In the end you will lose!!
I didn't say I was going to vote for them. If a certain individual (who I cannot in good conscience vote for) offers his Liberal candidacy yet again in my riding, then I will likely either vote NDP or Green or like so many Liberal voters did last time out, stay home. By the way, you needn't school me on the nefarious nature of this current government. I am well aware of what the stakes are.

You may not vote directly for the CONs but a vote against the Liberals is a vote for the CONs, IMO
I'm an artist with an interest in politics.
I'm also Charles A. Brown's granddaughter. He served WW1 - 73rd Battalion CEF, then later in the RAF. I'm afraid he kept his battles with the Red Baron a secret.

Nothing but a pompous pontificating pile of puffin poop.
Anon 3:14: I don't see Harper trying to unite the country!
Big Winnie, I'm going to let the childish anon's make fools of themselves.
If that is what passes as political discourse in their circles, I'm kinda glad they have chosen another party.
I'd hate to run into them at an event ;)
I agree KNB...Let them make asses of themselves!!

Sorry,but this line is revealing:

No shit, Sherlock.
Sheeple was a good book, and I suggest all Con lovers should read it.
