Canadians Cynical? Nope

It's been suggested during this campaign that Canadians are disinterested and cynical. That statement has been made in large part by Conservatives and some media.

I think they are in for a surprise.

This song was written and performed by Melissa D'Souza. She is an artist from Calgary. She got no help from the Liberal party in producing this song or video. She simply says that she was inspired by Michael Ignatieff's speech.

Well done!

I'm hearing the polls have been busy too. I voted yesterday. I think everyone is in for more than a few surprises this election.

Regardless of the fact that this video is pro Liberal (which I'm fine with anyways), I LOVE that it shows hope, people wanting more, and people pushing for democracy. It's POSITIVE, which is what I'd like to see from our political system, rather than the fear, negativity, and b.s. hyptoheticals being flung around by Harper.

Watching this, I truly feel the RISE UP emotion, and sincerely hope people vote for more, better, and move away from Harper's closed, hopeless, my-way-or highway, unethical contemptuous crap.

Seeing 'Canada' on a card in this video, I feel pride, and I hope we soon feel pride of who we've elected.

RISE THE #%^* UP PEOPLE, it's OUR Canada!!

The Trolls are going to get worried, as if they aren't yet. And if Harper does get a majority.... it will be a fluke, thanks to Jack,.... . we need a voting system one like Australia not this stupid voting system. In Australia one HAS to vote, too

A Eliz. I voted too and asked how busy it had been. It took me about 35 minutes in line and she said that was the lightest it had been in two days.

Good news!

Matthew....well said!

Aside from 'Harper can do anything and I will follow him' supporters I think most people feel that way.

A Eliz. never worry about the trolls. On windy days their script gets blown away and they have nothing to say.

I wonder if all the parties sent out e-mails to their members to vote early so what we're seeing at the polls are all the partisans. I know I got one from the Liberals. Anyway, I've been trying to get some non-partisan friends to vote (not necessarily for the Liberals... just to vote) and it's been hard.
