I don't know about you, but I cannot imagine the U.S. election without him. Very sad.

It is sad but like many at NBC, he favoured the democrats and bias never looks good on anyone.
Perhaps Obama will perform his first miracle as presumptive nominee for the Democrats by resurrecting Russert. After walking on water an undoubtedly performable task for him.

Politically he was a Democrat before he entered the media, which isn't unusual, given that Democrats are over-reprensented there. But Russert had integrity, was one of the best interviewers in the business and brought a genuine enthusiasm for his job. That's why his premature passing is unfortunate.
