You would think that Soudas would have checked this out, before he blabbed it to Harper, and why did Harper have to tell the G8?
As far as the "Host", I did not see Harper's arm move toward his face,..maybe he put it behind the paper in his hand, but not in his mouth. I notice Harper just said "he did not put it in his pocket"
