Cute! I watched quite a bit on CBC TV, felt good, love my Country, but a great deal of my fun left when Harper showed up. To me, he was everywhere, couldn't get rid of him...boy,I guess I really cannot stand him!! I ended up watching the ball game....much better

Cari, I turned off the tv after the CBC presentation. Lot's going on here, so I didn't want to see any more pseudo government stuff...especially Harper.

For now, the vid is cute and a happy note to end the day on.

Happy Canada Day!

Too bad the thugs in the RCMP weren't so cute and adorable.
I really do get sick and tired of having these police persons so representative of our nation. I say keep the Monarchy and disband the RCMP.

Otto Frederick Gideon Sundbäck invented the zipper*, he was a Swedish-Canadian or is that American....
One more reason to embrace multiculturalism...

Many internet sources cite Mr. Sundbäck as being American. He is buried in the U.S.A. and there seems to be some American connections.
The zipper was invented for the Hookless Fastener Company in Meadville (U.S.A.)

On a CBC-produced miniseries aired in January 2007, The Greatest Canadian Invention; the Zipper placed at No. 8 on the list. It qualified because Sundbäck had been president of a Canadian-based company that was one of the earliest manufacturers of the zipper.
Wiki

Cute song nevertheless.

* the song claims that a Canadian invented the zipper
