Questions

I have a lot of questions coming out of this article, but let's start here.

The government also ended a suspension of deportations to Burundi, Liberia and Rwanda, a move that could affect about 2,000 people.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced the tightening of the border rules, and Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan announced the lifting of the ban on the removal of people to Burundi, Liberia and Rwanda, "due to improved conditions" in those countries.

Um, okay. Then why is the same government posting the following at their site?

Why is this government so against coloured people..are they an inconvenience ? I do not think any of those countries are safe to send them back to.
What in hell is wrong with this government......Harper will have approved this, I know it.

"You have to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from Eastern Canada; people who live in ghettos and are not integrated into Western Canadian society."

- Conservative leader Stephen Harper, in Report Newsmagazine, 2001.

Yes, to the white bread harperites they are. Nothing like having a so-con agenda and Harper knows he needs the religious right to win a majority.

So now that MI is back in the country, will he be demanding the refugee rules NOT be changed?

Looks like Kenny is closing the abuse loop holes in our refugee system,
long long time over due.

Like fleeing their country to the US, and then head for greener pastures, filing for refugee status under Canadian very very generous rules and rights.....
