I remember staying up with Walter Cronkite too see the first man on the moon. I faintly see him announcing President Kennedy's death . I saw a rerun of that , not long ago and he was quite a broadcaster..I will miss him.

Walter Cronkite was one of three major American television presences in my young life. The others were Captain Kangaroo and the Vietnam War.

I remember thinking it was strange when the Vietnam war ended as it had been on my entire life.
