God Grief!

No that wasn't a typo. It wasn't meant to be good grief, though that's what I said when I first heard about this. The fact that a woman on a popular show in the US and has come through their education system, is unable to answer what is perhaps the most basic question on the planet, is a bit disturbing, no? It's tragically hilarious.

For the record, I don't watch this show, but when I heard this being reported, I dug it up. Now, obviously not all Americans share her view. In fact, because it's fact, I was unaware that anyone in the US didn't know that. Oh and her comment about "just trying to feed her child", pulleeze. She's not exactly working 3 minimum wage jobs from what I can see.

The fact that 4 GOP presidential candidates don't believe in Evolution, to that I say, good grief!

Are we right not to want emulate the US? It's a rhetorical question and yes, I'm allowed to point out flaws without being painted as anti-American.

Wasn't this supposed to be the show that would present a female point of view? Someone, save us from them. These are not people who I want to represent me, or my gender, period.

Is this woman for real????????

I unfortunately didn't laugh, even once. It's just too damned tragic. I can only shake my head.

But, she knows the passages of the Bible. It seems to be enough for her - to think she's raising a child ...shudder...

"The fact that 4 GOP presidential candidates don't believe in Evolution, to that I say, good grief!"

To this i say that there really isn't proof either way. I personally believe in
Evolution. You can show me links one way and i could show you links thee other way.

Who I'm I to criticize
them.

"Oh and her comment about "just trying to feed her child", pulleeze. She's not exactly working 3 minimum wage jobs from what I can see."

This i agree with you if i were her I'd be embarrassed today. But before blaming their school system, because of her. We should look at ours, because believe it or not we have the same people hear that are like her. That came
up threw our school system.

"Are we right not to want emulate the US? It's a rhetorical question and yes, I'm allowed to point out flaws without being painted as anti-American."

Yes you can point out flaws without being anti-American.But you also have to be fair and point out our flaws, and not be considered anti-Canadian and a puppet of thee U.S.

We do have the same flaws that they Americans have. I could see it now not from you
KNB but from your readers I'M pro U.S. I'M anti-Canadian etc..etc..etc..

John, you are wrong about evolution. It's not a debate, it's fact.

Links to people who do not believe in it prove nothing. Evolution has been proven, period. Creationism, surely hasn't.

"Links to people who do not believe in it prove nothing. Evolution has been proven, period. Creationism, surely hasn't."

Sorry but there isn't
proof either way on this issue.

Like i said before i believe in Evolution
until someone proves
otherwise,because its
how I've been raised.

I really don't see how
we can prove it.

It's called science John. Evolution has been proven.

Do you debate gravity?

"Do you debate gravity?"

Com on your comparing
apples and oranges. I mean you don't see people floating are you?:)

Karen said...

Well, gravity and evolution have both been proven through the same scientific criteria.

It's not a debate John. Once something is proven, it's proven. Because some whacko suggests that they have a different opinion, based on some fantastical story written in a book written by men, and his opinion deserves debate, doesn't make it so.

Not every subject has two sides. Debating evolution is the same as debating gravity.

You said you believe in evolution. Based on what?

KNB sorry i disagree
with you there isn't real
proof either I'm to say.

KNB correction i meant to say "I'M sorry to say":)

"You said you believe in evolution. Based on what?"

Well based on my education from school.
Do i believe that its 100% no i don't because i don't see proof either way.

This conversation is getting a little tiresome.

Well if you don't see proof, I hope you failed that course.

Look it up John, it's not a controversy.

I'm sure you're tired of the subject, because your stance is only supported by Christian wing-nuts, like the woman here that isn't sure whether or not the world is flat!

Same breed my man. I'm not accusing you of being one, but if you are part of that far right Christian denialist movement, do watch how marginalized you are about to become. No leader is going to support your points.

These people are the reason why I do not want MMP in Ontario.
